  • Better Than Raw was created by Anette and Kelly as a tribute to Chelsea.

    Chelsea was Anette’s pet companion and best friend for 13 years.Chelsea passed away due to cancer—a disease which was attributed various factors, with diet and nutrition being one of the top contributors. Ridden with sorrow and guilt, Anette hoped that she could have given Chelsea a better life, especially by providing healthier food. However, she did not know any better at that time.
                                        

  • Chelsea’s passing was a hard slap for Anette.

    She then heavily researched pet nutrition in hope of giving Cola, her French Bulldog, a better life. Cola had spent 6 months eating non-raw without proper nutrition and calories supervision. 


    It was time for change.

  • Exciting as the prospects of raw food can be, it can get daunting.

    Together with Kelly, Anette spent months trying out recipes and guidelines for Cola. However, during that period, they went through lots of confusion. There are lots of variables when it comes to raw food: toppers, vitamins, ingredients, and nutritional counts. Yet, Indonesia severely lacks regulations and guidelines for raw food.

    Unsatisfied with their findings, Anette and Kelly sought out complete and balanced recipe formulations from a US certified nutritionist. The recipes follow NRC guidelines and have a clear breakdown of macro and micro nutrients.

  • As a pet owner, Anette and Kelly went through a long, arduous journey of finding the most suitable raw food for Cola. They wanted to make the recipes that they has available for all—without any of the hassles.

    Thus, in 2021, 

    Better Than Raw was born.

  • In January, Better Than Raw began with 3 puppy recipes,
    3 adult recipes and 9 boosters.

    Today, after a year, we hold 4 all-stages recipes, 4 puppy recipes, 4 adult recipes, 1 senior recipe and 13 boosters.

    Better Than Raw is now trademarked in DJKI (Direktorat Jenderal Kekayaan Intelektual) under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of The Republic of Indonesia. All recipes were lab-tested to ensure its safety. Our kitchen and production process are NKV (Nomor Kontrol Veteriner) Certified (pending approval).

    But, there’s more to come
